International Puppet Theatres Festival of European Union Countries Eurofest
The solemn beginning of the International Puppet Theatres Festival of European Union Countries Eurofest took place at the Zwyciestwa Square in Slupsk. Punctually at noon, the Fairy Procession left from in front of the Town Hall passing the streets of Slupsk in colorful parade and finishing at Old Marketplace. The route of the parade led through the streets of Starzynskiego, Wojska Polskiego Avenue, Henryka Sienkiewicza and Jednosci Narodowej.
13 theatre groups participate in this festival. The participants are from European Union countries, such as: Austria, Belgium, The Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia and Sweden. There are also guests who are invited from countries outside EU: Moldova and Ukraine. Except of participants and guests of the festival the theatre groups active in elementary schools in Slupsk participated in the colorful parade.
